Morgan E. Estabrook is an accredited public relations professional with more than five years of experience leading marketing and communications programs in a higher education research setting.
As senior manager of marketing and communications for U.Va. Innovation, Estabrook works to elevate the profile of the University of Virginia’s innovation and entrepreneurship activities. In this role, she led the U.Va. Innovation branding initiative and launched a dynamic new website, implementing major cost-savings while introducing innovative features such as an interactive map of U.Va. ventures and a graphical “product pipeline.” She has also established U.Va. Innovation as a high-growth social-media influencer across university, innovation and entrepreneurial networks.
Estabrook frequently leads educational sessions and webinars on branding, strategic communications and social media strategy. She also serves as a mentor and readiness review panelist for candidates seeking the Accreditation in Public Relations, a designation she herself earned in 2012 through the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Her work has been honored by the American Marketing Association, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and McMurry’s Center for Professional Excellence.
Estabrook first joined the U.Va. Innovation team in November 2007 as outreach and communications manager for the U.Va. Patent Foundation (now the U.Va. Licensing & Ventures Group), having previously served as senior writer and production manager for the U.Va. School of Engineering and Applied Science and as interim production manager for U.Va.’s College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.
