Jeffrey A. Wilk joined the University of Virginia Licensing & Ventures Group (then the U.Va. Patent Foundation) in March 1998.
Previously, he spent 10 years designing, developing, implementing, documenting and evaluating computer solutions for a wide variety of manufacturing and service-oriented corporate customers. Specifically, he was the senior process engineer for Industrial Nucleonic's successful introduction of adaptive-feed-forward computer control to the textile industry. While working as a systems consultant, he authored the operations' and users' documentation for the real-time inventory control system at Delmonte Foods, and he was the architect for an interactive job costing system at William Byrd Press.
Wilk spent 15 years as a member of the computer operations division of Jefferson National Bank. As the vice president and manager of the Treasury Management Department, he was responsible for delivering commercial financial services electronically to the Bank's corporate customers.
During the past 25 years, Wilk has taught a variety of courses as an adjunct professor at Piedmont Virginia Community College. He has led classes in computers and information systems, cost accounting, finance, economics and business management.
