Established in March 2010, the Advisory Panel is a distinguished group of local entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, academics and members of industry who make recommendations to U.Va. Innovation and the Licensing & Ventures Group regarding patent investment decisions and offer feedback on faculty start-up business plans. The panel reviews U.Va.'s innovation portfolio at quarterly meetings, making recommendations based on patentability, market analysis, industry feedback, research funding and other factors.
